Non-essential travel to Austria is currently prohibited. The Austrian government announced that from 19 December 2020 till 10 January 2021 visitors have to go into quarantine if you´re entering the country from a risk area (average daily cases per 100K in last 14 days higher than 100). Per definition Germany is considered as risk area at present.

With the exception of the municipality of Jungholz in Tyrol and Kleinwalsertal/the municipality of Mittelberg in Vorarlberg, there are currently warnings against unnecessary travel for tourism purposes to Austria. (Last updated: 7 December)

Therefore, Skibus München is not currently offering trips to Austrian ski resorts.

Our already generous cancellation conditions remain valid. As a rule, you can rebook or cancel your ticket by midnight on the day before departure free of charge.

If trips do not take place, you can also rebook your ticket free of change or choose to receive a refund.

Additional information regarding our cancellation conditions can be found here in the “General” section of the FAQs.

No. Even though the social distancing limit of 1.5 metres does not apply on buses and we are allowed to fill every seat, we have reduced the maximum number of passengers on all trips. In this way we can provide more space between passengers.

We have reduced the maximum number of passengers on all trips and are not filling our buses to capacity. However, if you would like even more comfort, you may book the seat next to you for a flat fee of €12.00 on all “operated by Autobus Oberbayern” trips.

This will guarantee that the seat next to you will remain free for both the outward and the return journey.

Drinks are sold in compliance with the corresponding hygiene regulations. The sale and consumption of alcohol during the journey is currently forbidden.

In general

In short: the sooner, the better! That’s the only way to be make sure there’ll still be enough seats on your desired journey. We have limited capacity. However, it’s usually possible to book your ticket up to 12 hours before departure - provided seats are still available. If a trip is fully booked, it will be marked as “sold out”. In this case, you should select one of our other ski resorts.

No. You can simply present the PDF ticket and barcode on your smartphone. Alternatively, you can also print your ticket and bring it with you, of course. Our Tour Guide will scan your ticket when you board the bus or during the journey.

Yes, you must! Due to Austrian entry requirements, you must carry your personal ID card or passport with you on the journey. Our Tour Guides will check the identification documents of all passengers prior to departure. Unfortunately, you’re unable to travel without a valid identification document.

In order for us to offer our tours at such good prices, we have to ensure a certain minimum utilisation rate for our buses. Unfortunately, we are therefore unable to completely rule out the possibility that tours may be cancelled in exceptional circumstances.
If a tour is unable to run, we’ll notify you via email at least 12 hours prior to departure. In this case, the full cost of your ticket will, of course, be refunded and you can choose another ski resort from our programme.

If it were up to us, we’d always take you to the mountains in perfect weather. However, we unfortunately can’t control the elements. Our tours usually run in any weather. The current and forecasted conditions for our ski resorts are available under the Weather tab.
Tours don’t run in cases of extreme weather, such as storms or during the closure of a ski resort. If a tour is unable to run, we’ll notify you via email at least 12 hours prior to departure. In this case, the full cost of your ticket will, of course, be refunded and you can choose another ski resort from our itinerary.

Yes you can. All tours operated by Autobus Oberbayern can also be booked without a ski pass for €29.00. This is the price of a return ticket.

If you´d like to return on a different day you have to book two bus only tickets. Please pay attention to select the correct dates when booking your tickets.

Basically, our tours are day trips, i.e. we take you from Munich to a ski resort and back on the same day.

For journeys without a ski pass (bus only ticket category), you can also use the ski bus for outward and return travel on different days. Please note that you must buy two single tickets to make a return journey without a ski pass. It does not matter if the outward and return journeys take place on the same day or on different days. When buying your ticket, please make sure that you select the correct date for the outward and return journey.

It is possible to cancel your trip free of charge or rebook your trip free of charge until 12:00 pm on the day before the tour takes place (only Monday to Friday). In case of a later cancellation or rebooking a 15 € per ticket fee applies. Unused tickets can´t be refunded or exchanged.

The large display panel at ZOB shows the bus platform and the name of the ski resort. The electronic display at the bus stop also indicates the name of the ski resort.

All the ski resorts we serve offer local ski/snowboard rental. Depending on the ski resort, your Skibus Muenchen ticket entitles you to a discount on the rental fee at selected providers. For more information, please refer to the relevant destination page on our website.

Young people under the age of 18 can join our tours with the written permission of their parent or guardian. The consent form is available here.
This consent form is to be completed in full, signed and voluntarily handed to the Tour Guide when boarding the bus. For legal reasons we are unfortunately unable to take you if the consent form is missing or incomplete.

While on the slopes, you can leave any unneeded items on the bus, which will be locked. However, we assume no liability for belongings / valuables left on the bus.

Buses return to Munich from the ski resorts at around 4.30 pm. In the case of night skiing/sledging, they return to Munich at around 10.30 pm.

If you’ve forgotten or lost something on the bus, please send an email to info@skibusmuenchen.de. Please specify the date and destination of your tour, as well as the lost item. Please understand that we can only process your Lost & Found enquiry during our office hours, Monday to Friday.

Unfortunately, for safety reasons you’re not allowed to bring pets (dogs, cats, etc.) on our tours.

Club outing, company away day or stag party? For groups of 20 people or more, we’re happy to provide individual quotes for a day trip to a ski resort. Please submit your request via email to info@skibusmuenchen.de.

Gift vouchers are exclusively available from our office at Luisenstraße 1, 80333 Munich. When purchasing vouchers, please note that the ski resort must be selected in advance. The voucher must be exchanged for a ticket prior to departure. Currently, vouchers are only available for journeys operated by Autobus Oberbayern.
